Promising young mare with great potential for competition and breeding!
Djörfung is a black mare born 2014. Her father is the Stáli son Váli frá Efra-Langholti, evaluated 1st price with 8.32 in total with 9 for tölt, and 8.5 for slow tölt, trot, gallop, spirit, and general impression. Vali has four evaluated offsprings, three of them evaluated with 1st prize. Djörfung’s mother is Dáð frá Flagbjarnarholti, daughter of the amazing Rökkvi frá Hárlaugsstöðum and the Gaedingar mother Surtsey frá Feti (mother of amongst others Framherji, Austri, and Nagli frá Flagbjarnarholti).
Djörfung is a fivegaiter, but the pace was not yet trained. She has well separated gaits with very good leg lift and extension. Her tölt is always on clean beat and in good collection and posture, the trot elastic and with much movement of shoulder. The gallop well jumped and the walk relaxed and striding.
Djörfung is very well trained and knows all basic dressage excercises. With more training, working on her strength and stamina, she is a great prospect for sport and breeding show!
