Lipurtá, born 2009, is such a raw diamond. She has only been ridden as a leisure horse in her life,her pedigree will leave you speechless. Her father is no one else but the great Orri frá Þúfu í Landeyjum. I don’t think there is much to say about him that not everybody knows already. One of the most influential stallions in Icelandic horse breeding in modern times. The Honorary Prize for offsprings he received in 2000 is more then well deserved, having produced horses such as Gaumur frá Auðsholtshjáleigu, Sær frá Bakkakoti, Álfur frá Selfossi, Dynur frá Hvammi, Vilmundur frá Feti, Garri frá Reykjavík and countless super high evaluated stallions and mares more.
Lipurtá’s mother is Skáldsaga frá Grænuhlíð, one of the last living daughters of the famous Hrafn frá Holtsmúla.
Lipurtá has three evaluated fullsisters, one 1st prize (8.16) and two 2nd prize (7.94 and 7.91), who also all have competed in F1, F2 and A-Flokkur, all in masterclass, which is the highest level of competing in Iceland.
Lipurtá has the perfect sweet character, very friendly and easy and really can be ridden by everyone. Super safe and reliable, not scared or stressed and always “with” her rider, listening well, and super soft on the rain. She has nice tölt , with good movements, good trot, upwards gallop and relaxed walk. She is fivegaited, but pace was never worked on.
