Beautiful young gelding with a lot of potential and beautiful colour!
Ljósvíkingur is a 2012 born palomino gelding, sired by the 9.5-pacer Ábóti frá Síðu, son of the lgendary Óður frá Brún. Ábóti is a two times Landsmót participant, competing amongst other in Speed Pace 100m P2 with Þórður Þorgeirsson (7.70) and Gæðingakeppni A-Class (five gait, 8,56). Ljósvíkingur’s mother is Brynja frá Syðstu-Görðum, daughter of the famous Gustur frá Hóli.
Ljósvíkingur is fivegaited, but trained as a fourgaiter so far. He shows very much potential in his gaits, high leg lift, energetoc movements, and effortless clean rhythm. With further training, especially in dressage and working on his topline strength, his movements will only get bigger and wider. Everybody with some experience can ride this enthusiastic and forward going horse, he has an excellent character and for sure will make his way onto the competition track in the future.
A really promising gelding, just waiting for the right rider, to start his career in 4gait and tölt competitions.
