1st prize Arion son for sale!
Vonar is a 2012 red dun 1st prize stallion, evaluated with amongst others 8.5 for tölt, pace, spirit, back and croup, and legs. His father is the amazing Arion frá Eystra-Fróðholti, who died unfortunately long before his time. Arion was evaluated with 8.91 in total, thereof 9.25 for ridden abilities, with a breathtaking 10 for tölt and slow tölt. Simply perfection. Shortly before his death (he received a severe injury to the shoulder in the field), Arion was awarded with the 1st prize for offsprings, being the sire to such amazing horses as Glampi frá Kjarrhólum (8.59-8.72-8.68), Apollo frá Haukholtum (8.76-8.63-8.68) and Þór frá Stóra-Hofi (8.83-8.85-8.84).
Vonar's mother is the fantastic Ófeigur frá Flugumýri daughter Von frá Bakkakoti, 1st prize mare, and mother to many 1st prize offsprings, such as Trú frá Eystra-Fróðholti, Vonandi frá Bakkakoti, Virðing frá Bakkakoti, Vaka frá Bakkakoti, Vænting frá Bakkakoti, and of course Vonar himself.
Vónar is a fivegaited stallion with good temperament, willing, but not too much and always easy to control. He has a great speed variation in tölt, is always on clean beat, and shows high leg lift. He is super cooperative under the saddle, loves to work, and always gives his best. Vonar has a sporty and well proportioned body with long legs and a cylindric body. It's easy for him to move in good posture and he carries himself well. He is 1.41m on stick.
This year, Vonar started competing this year and was really successful in teenage class, taking part in F2 (scoring up to 6.20), PP1, and T1, and competing at Reykjavíkurmeistaramót (Reykjavik Championships) as well as Íslandsmót barna og unglinga, the Landsmót for children and teenagers. He has a bright future ahead of him in sports as well as Gæðingakeppni, both for adults as well as younger riders.
So if your're looking for your next ovaltrack star, but also want a 1st prize evaluated stallion, Vonar is a great choice. Combining a top class pedigree, a good FIZO evaluation, and high talent for sports with a superb character and friendly temperament.
